In a Subaru Forester, You Can Do So Much
The Subaru Forester at Pape Subaru is one of those SUVs that was built with adventure in mind. It's a sizable two-row model with plenty of interior space, and it has a good amount of capability. The Forester has been popular amongst South Portland drivers for some time, and we're excited about what our new models have to offer.
Customers from Scarborough to Windham have several trims to choose from. The base model is the most affordable, which is the main reason it stands out to many potential buyers. It has a competitive starting price of $24,795. For that amount of money, you'll be getting a powerful 2.5-liter, 182-horsepower engine, all-wheel drive, smartphone connectivity, a touchscreen, and driver-assist technologies. The Premium is the next model in the lineup, and it comes with a panoramic moonroof, heated front seats, and power-adjustable front seats. The Sport is a somewhat unique trim. It has a more athletic feel to it, thanks to black alloy wheels, orange exterior accents, unique badging, and orange contrast stitching on its two-tone cloth seats. The Sport has a dual-function X-MODE to make it more steady in rough terrain.
At the top of the lineup are the Limited and Touring models. These both have leather seats, power rear gates, and automatic climate control with two separate zones. You'll feel like you're in an upscale vehicle if you drive one of these around Westbrook. The Touring tops things off with navigation, heated front and rear seats, and sophisticated chrome accents. In a Touring, a heated steering wheel is standard; this component is available in the Limited.
We're excited about the upcoming edition of the Forester Wilderness. Like the Forester Sport, it's going to have a dual-function X-MODE to give it better traction. It'll also have a higher ground clearance so it can more easily clear obstacles. Front and rear skid plates will be standard, and so will enhanced suspension, all-terrain tires, and an upgraded rear differential. For our Portland customers who plan on heading into rugged areas, this trim would be something to consider.
All of these Foresters have great technology and safety packages. Our first few trims come standard with 6.5-inch touchscreens and STARLINK Multimedia Plus infotainment systems. It's impressive what Subaru has integrated into the Forester. Each trim has Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM, HD Radio, and Bluetooth. Two USB ports are found in the first row, and most trims have a pair of USB ports in the second row. Except for the base trim, all trims have Wi-Fi capability so that you can stay connected while you drive around Yarmouth or travel elsewhere.
Safety and Design
At the Limited trim level, the Forester gets upgraded with an eight-inch touchscreen. Having a larger screen would make it easier to interact with. This larger screen is an option on the Sport. On the Touring, you'll find an impressive array of high-tech features. In addition to all of the components previously mentioned with the other trims, the Touring has navigation and a voice-activated system. Plus, the Touring has a Harman Kardon premium audio system with nine speakers and a 576-watt-equivalent amplifier. This system should please those customers in Saco who love listening to their music.
Perhaps most importantly, the Forester can keep you safe on the roads around South Portland. Every trim has EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. This means that they can watch out for problems on your behalf. If it seems like you'll soon be in a problematic situation, you'll be alerted, and your SUV could potentially take corrective measures on its own. The Forester can work to prevent frontal collisions, and it can center itself in a lane so that you don't accidentally drift to one side. Adaptive cruise control and automatic high beams are standard and reverse automatic braking, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are available.
